The Nineteenth Bay Area Discrete Math Day (BADMath Day) will take
place on Saturday, October 17, 2007 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM,
in room 124 of the Valley Business and Techology Center at Cal State
University East Bay
BADMath Days are one-day meetings aimed at facilitating communication between researchers and graduate students of discrete mathematics around the San Francisco Bay Area. These days happen twice a year and strive to create an informal atmosphere to talk about discrete mathematics. The term "discrete mathematics" is chosen to include at least the following topics: Algebraic and Enumerative Combinatorics, Discrete Geometry, Graph Theory, Coding and Design Theory, Combinatorial Aspects of Computational Algebra and Geometry, Combinatorial Optimization, Probabilistic Combinatorics, Combinatorial Aspects of Statistics, and Combinatorics in Mathematical Physics. |

Directions and parking
Directions to Cal State East Bay can be found on
the CSUEB
website. The Valley Business and Technology Center can be found on
the following map.
Parking lots are also indicated on that map; we recommend that you park in parking lot F.
If you are driving, you will need a permit. The cost is $7 for the day and permits can be bought at the machines in the parking lots. See the map for details. On the map, the parking ticket machines are denoted with
a blue triangle. The machines in lots E2 and G accept both cash and credit cards.
CSUEB can be easily accessed by public transit. Simply take the BART to the Hayward Station, and then take the 92 bus up the hill to campus.
If you need a ride, or if you are able to give rides, please contact your local member of the BADMath Committee.
Registration
There is no registration fee, but it is essential that
you register (using the form below) on or before Monday, October 5.
